Galaxy A90 5G: Samsung Brings Next-Gen 5G Connectivity To Mid-Rangers

If you head on over to the Samsung Galaxy Fold pre-registration page today, in the United Kingdom or U.S., you can only register your interest in - rather than reserve - one of these smartphones.

Samsung Galaxy A90 5G smartphone was launched on 3rd September 2019. A physical fingerprint sensor is also seen at the back of the phone.

First, the Galaxy A90 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 855 5G platform to deliver great performance. It'll be thinner than the Galaxy Fold and more affordable, too, we're told. However, Samsung is rumoured to set the price around 900,000 KRW.

The Galaxy A90 5G will be available in two color options - black and white.

Until now, 5G has been reserved for only the most expensive phones on the market. Now, the company has a fourth 5G smartphone which is the Samsung Galaxy A90 5G. There are no surprises when it comes to software - there is Android 9 Pie with One UI customization. The main camera is a 48 megapixel affair, with a lens that has an f/2 maximum aperture.

Samsung's newest project will fold out into what is essentially the shape of a normal smart phone meaning developers won't have to design custom aspect ratios for apps on the device like they do with the more square Galaxy Fold display. The rear uses a unique geometric pattern and it has a triple camera setup. The details of the launch date were revealed on Amazon India along with an image of the Galaxy M30s.

Initially, the device will be made available in Samsung's home market, Korea, but the company also says that it will be making its way to "additional markets thereafter".

The Galaxy A90 5G will be getting a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display just like its sibling, the Galaxy A80. Samsung also confirmed the Galaxy A90 5G would offer features like Scene Optimiser, Super Steady and Flaw Detector.

The camera department has three rear cameras: a 48MP primary snapper, an 8MP Ultra wide-angle snapper (123-degree), and a 5MP depth camera.
