Tottenham have agreed a fee with Real Betis for Giovani Lo Celso

Sessegnon joins Spurs from Fulham in a player-plus-cash transfer that sees Josh Onomah move the opposite way.

No financial details were disclosed but Watford says it is a "new club record transfer".

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli looks certain to miss the start of the Premier League season after a hamstring injury ruled him out of his side's penalty shootout defeat by Inter Milan in their final pre-season friendly on Sunday.

But clearly, Daniel Levy looks unphased by all this chaos as there has been minimal transfer activity in the club and the only big signing this summer has been that of Tanguy Ndombélé from Lyon.

After the club record signing of French worldwide midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, the signings of Lo Celso and Sessegnon add some much-needed depth to a Spurs squad that had previously gone 18 months without a new recruit.

After several days of rumors surrounding Tottenham's transfer activity, the club has announced the signings of Ryan Sessegnon and Giovani Lo Celso.

Lo Celso impressed for Real Betis last season and has forced his way into the Argentina worldwide set-up also.

Other Premier League clubs could still lose players.

With the fact that Christian Eriksen has made it into the previous year of his contract raising uncertainties over his future even though the domestic transfer window is closed.

Whether they would be interested in the Juve forward remains to be seen, with the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Edinson Cavani, Angel Di Maria, Pablo Sarabia and Julian Draxler already part of their squad.

McGinn was voted player of the season by the fans last term after making the move from Easter Road for a fee believed to be in the region of £2.5 million.

But with Manchester United and Arsenal having strengthened over the close season it would leave Tottenham with little room for error and Pochettino maybe questioning whether his ambition can be ever fulfilled in north London.

Sessegnon has also been heavily linked with Tottenham over the past few years, with his performances in the Championship during the 2017/18 season attracting interest from England's top clubs.

The 26-year-old was a shadow of his usual dynamic self against Liverpool in Madrid, but he is confident of returning to peak form this season.
