The reason why Queen Elizabeth won't be at Archie's christening next month

"Happy Father's Day! And wishing a very special first Father's Day to The Duke of Sussex!" the post read.

Prince Philip was even featured in one of the couple's first snaps of baby Archie, alongside the Queen and Meghan's mum Doria Ragland, 62. "The first one features The Duke with his eldest children, The Prince of Wales and The Princess Royal, and was taken in 1952".

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's son will soon be baptised at the same church where his parents were married.

Archie's curious eyes are a flawless blend of his parents, as seen in their own baby photos.

Meghan said of her husband and her son: "It's magic, it's pretty awesome". For the unversed, on occasion of Father's day, the royal couple shared a never-seen-before picture of their kid.

The sepia-toned photo of Archie staring at the camera and gripping his dad's left hand was shared on the SussexRoyal Instagram account.

This new photo teases part of Archie's face and depicts Prince Harry holding his newborn as the baby reaches out to grab ahold of one of his papa's fingers.

Though there is a distance between the brothers, as Harry and Meghan relocated from Kensington Palace to Frogmore Cottage ahead of Archie's birth, William does recognize the impact Meghan has had on his brother.

It's set to be one of the biggest events in the royal calendar this year but according to reports, Queen Elizabeth will be giving Archie Mountbatten Windsor's christening a skip.

Philip, who is rumoured to share a close bond with the young prince, made a surprise appearance at the Royal Wedding in May previous year, despite recovering from a hip operation at the time.

Of course there will be many members of the royal family in attendance, and a large celebrity presence is also expected, much like at the couple's May 19th wedding in Windsor Castle previous year.

Prince Charles and Camilla will lead the christening, and Prince William and Kate will attend.

Prince Philip and the Queen are pictured at Prince George's christening in 2013. "This is going to be a really important day for Prince Harry".
