Weather: Storms could wash out end of the weekend

Today's warmth will be the fuel for the afternoon and evening storms across the region.

Still, it is expected that an outflow boundary will spark a complex of thunderstorms in the late afternoon in Central Texas near Waco and Austin. High temperatures tomorrow stretch into the 70s to near 80, but slightly cooler at the coast due to a seabreeze that develops by the afternoon. Higher humidity levels will also be increasing across our area, which could help initiate a few isolated thunderstorms into later this evening and the overnight hours.

Two to three inches of rain caused already wet ground and high water areas to flood some roadways.

MONDAY: Mostly cloudy with a 40 percent chance for scattered showers and storms.

Tonight, a few lingering showers for eastern MA, otherwise the cold front clears out to sea.

Monday: Mostly to partly cloudy.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday: Sunshine, heavy showers and brisk winds are likely on Sunday.

Friday: Partly cloudy with a chance of a few showers and thunderstorms, warm with highs in the middle 80s. Expect a high of 81 and a low of 65.

Drier weather will move in by Wednesday and Thursday with high temperatures returning to the 80s.
