Too big, too strong: Tyson Fury floors Tom Schwarz to remain unbeaten

Loving a bit of the reception from the MGM Grand Garden Arena crowd, Fury confirmed he will fight in the United States again on September 21st or on 5th October, hinting the rematch with WBC Champion Deontay Wilder is on the cards next year.

Fury spent almost three years out the ring after battling depression and drug addiction before returning with wins over Sefer Seferi and Francesco Pianeta, the draw with Wilder and now the win over Schwarz.

"He still only 30 years of age, which is young for a heavyweight, got no miles on the clock, it's not like he has been in any real wars, three years out the ring, he's got another five or six years if he chooses to carry on boxing".

"The only title that I care about is the lineal championship of the world", Fury said.

"Seven months out of the ring is a hell of a long time".

His Anthony Joshua knockout will serve as a constant reminder for sometime that boxing has always been about and will always be about skills.

"They paid their money for the Gypsy King and that's what I'm going to give them". It actually makes me have concerns. Whoever wins out of me and Wilder will fight Andy Ruiz.

"I put on an extra 12 pounds".

Fury appears to have gone cold on the possibility of fighting Anthony Joshua in the near future after his shock defeat to Andy Ruiz Jr.

"The fight with Deontay Wilder helped with my profile in the United States but now this is the biggest fight of my life". I get millions of messages from all over the world, people constantly talking about my problem. He knows he was beaten soundly.

"It's very different, but it's what I was born to do", Fury said of his fights on the other side of the Atlantic.

Moving forward, Ruiz and Joshua will likely have an immediate rematch later this year, but the fact remains that Joshua's loss has had a major impact on not only the Heavyweight division, but on the sport of boxing as a whole. They talk to me constantly about mental health, because people are suffering.

"I haven't agreed to anything past Tom Schwarz". But you can only look at one opponent at a time.

Fury knocked out Schwarz at 2:54 of the second round for the win.

It is for that reason that if he secures victory as the underdog in a non-title fight, Schwarz believes he will already have peaked as a professional fighter and insists he will then never fight again.

"I'm only thinking about Tom Schwarz at the minute", Fury said. "In what world could he ever beat me?" He beat Klitschko so he's the best. At a staredown he can behave how he wants. He needs to be the best Tyson Fury possible.

If Fury was able to snake charm such an experienced technician as Klitschko and such a unsafe slugger as Wilder with his daring style, it's hard to imagine the plodding Schwarz catching up with him.

Fury added: "Physically Joshua could out-train everyone".
