Cyberpunk 2077 Got Motherflippin' Keanu Reeves To Drop Their Release Date

Keanu Reeves will be in it!

For fans at E3, an even bigger surprise lay in store when Reeves himself appeared onstage to talk about the new game. Sure, he was reading a script, but (with a little bit of ad libbing and crowd interaction) he managed to eventually reveal the game's release date on 16th April 2020. The character's metallic right arm led IGN to speculate that it could be Johnny Silverhand, a character in the Cyberpunk 2020 tabletop series on which 2077 is based. "We are putting our hearts and souls into making Cyber Punk 2077 a great game and we would like as many gamers as possible to find out about it and experience its unbelievable story".

Reeves has had a career year with the commercial success of John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum has taken in more than $252 million internationally since its May 17 release.

Cyberpunk 2077 (or, The Game Starring Keanu Reeves), now has a Steam page. With dozens if not hundreds of stories set in the grimy, neon-lit city, CD Projekt RED has set high expectations for their new game.

Alongside the release date comes word of the expected Collector's Edition, which comes in a box modeled after one of Night City's buildings.

As known, Cyberpunk 2077 is set in the future in which body modification has become an obsession.

More information can be found on the official Cyberpunk website. With a special collectors edition of the game coming with a 10-inch statue of V, the game's main character, along with an art book. The protagonist is a mercenary called V, and players will be able to customise their character with a variety of skills and weapons as well as augment his or her implants.
