Jovic signs with Real Madrid

Luka Jovic has officially completed his move to Real Madrid.

Madrid-based sports daily Marca reported the club was paying 60 million euros ($67.5 million) with a bonus of 5 million euros ($5.6 million), with 30% of the transfer fee going to Benfica, Jovic's former club.

And his performances have earned him a move to Real Madrid on a six-year deal.

Jovic played a key role in Bundesliga side Frankfurt's run to the Europa League semi-finals before they were knocked out by Chelsea in a penalty shootout at Stamford Bridge.

Madrid have signed centre-back Eder Militao from Benfica for €50m, while forward Rodrygo will arrive from Santos this summer for €54m in a deal agreed past year.

It was reported last month that the Spanish giants had agreed a deal with the Premier League club to sign Hazard after last Wednesday's Europa League final for €100 million.

Jovic has scored 27 goals in 48 games.

Jovic will be leaving Eintracht Frankfurt after an incredibly successful season and the German club expressed their sadness that the Serbian was leaving the club. The word has spread in Europe about his explosiveness and his goal-scoring instinct.

"But for us it was clear that there is a financial threshold. It's an important and good piece of transfer business for Eintracht Frankfurt".

"From a sporting point of view, Luka Jovic is a huge loss for us", Frankfurt chairman Fredi Bobic said. We wish Luka only the best for his future.

While the unveiling, presuming Jovic passes his medial, of one of Europe's hottest prospects will no doubt please the Bernabeu faithful, Madrid supporters are still eagerly anticipating the expected signing of Belgian forward Eden Hazard from Chelsea. He has the best conditions for a great career.

The Frenchman has scored 30 goals in 52 games across all competitions this season, including 21 in La Liga, 18 more than his total for past year.
