Anthony Travalgia - Net-front presence the focus for Bruins in Game 4

Game 1 was Columbus' first game in over a week, so maybe it was just shaking off some rust, but whatever the case, the Blue Jackets were vastly improved in Game 2, basically splitting the shot attempts and expected goals with the B's but creating double the amount of high-danger scoring chances.

Because as TV replays clearly showed, moments before the goal the puck hit the netting behind the goal and the play should have been ruled dead.

But the Bruins agitator avoided supplemental discipline with a suspension after the league's decision-makers deemed it more annoying than with any intent to injure behind it. Harrington was perfectly fine, the referees on the ice missed it after Marchand sneaked up behind the Columbus D-man and popped him with a quick rabbit punch and Marchand was again a lightning rod for criticism across NHL social media platforms.

The Blue Jackets do a great job of playing head coach John Tortorella's system exactly how it's drawn up. "I think we did a good job of that at times, but we just didn't find the loose pucks", Cassidy said after practice on Wednesday. "But he's (Bobrovsky) definitely going to crack at some point", Bruins defenseman Brandon Carlo said after Game 3. Two Marchand penalties have cost the Bruins in the series, resulting in power-play goals for the Blue Jackets. Artemi Panarin recorded the Blue Jackets' lone goal.

Going 7-for-16 in their first round victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Bruins power play was a key for them.

The Bruins faced plenty of injuries during the regular season, and top players weren't immune, with Bergeron being limited to 65 games and Pastrnak to 66. "Games go on, and I'll worry about the next one".

The 19,337 fans at Nationwide Arena chanted Bobrovsky's name during the third period on Tuesday, and the goaltender said he heard the positive affirmation and called it "really cool".

CHAOTIC FIRSTThere was a lot to unpack from a busy first period that finished with the Bruins ahead 2-1. Tuukka Rask has given up 23 goals on 320 shots faced.

It was much of the same in Game 2 for Columbus, as the Bruins allowed them to get to the spots they wanted and do so with little resistance. That act earned him five games off.

Now, the uncomfortable thought is that they might run out of time before the bounces finally go their way.

"I'm not giving you my thoughts".
