Brothers Allegedly Involved in Jussie Smollett's "attack" Sue Actors Lawyers for Defamation

Brothers Allegedly Involved in Jussie Smollett's

"These lies r destroying our character and reputation & personal life".

Prosecutors later dropped the charges against Smollett, sparking an outcry. "Defendants made these comments knowing they were untrue to distract from Mr. Smollett's farce".

Meanwhile, the brothers, both aspiring actors who'd met Smollett on the set of "Empire", alleged in their defamation lawsuit that they were the true victims in the case. "While we know this ridiculous lawsuit will soon be dismissed because it lacks any legal footing, we look forward to exposing the fraud the Osundairo brothers and their attorneys have committed on the public".

Jussie's brother JoJo argues that his brother was convicted in the court of public opinion first. "I will leave it at that", Geragos said. At the same time, Granich said he understood the brothers' frustration and desire to show they are telling the truth.

Smollett, who is black and gay, ignited a firestorm on social media by telling police on January 29 that two apparent supporters of U.S. President Donald Trump struck him, put a noose around his neck and poured bleach over him. He said his attackers also shouted slogans supporting President Donald Trump.

His attorney told CBS Chicago that he had been used as a "pawn" in the ongoing feud between the Fraternal Order of Police and Foxx.

At the April Rainbow/PUSH news conference, Rush called out the Fraternal Order of Police, the union that represents the bulk of CPD officers, as "the sworn enemy of black people".

Their lawsuit accuses Geragos and Glandian of making false statements about them after the charges were dropped against Smollett.

Olabinjo and Abimbola Osundairo are seeking financial compensation for the "harm" done to them as a result of the statements, which they say have caused "irreparable financial damage".

"Smollett directed every aspect of the attack, including the location and the noose", the suit claims and says former CNN contributor Geragos and team defamed the duo repeatedly to the press. Following his court appearance, his attorneys released a statement saying that the actor's "record has been wiped clean of the filing of this tragic complaint against him". Smollett also said the men doused him with a chemical and put a noose around his neck. "If the accused is married, the punishment is death by stoning".

Disgraced Empire star Jussie Smollet's family are doubling down on the alleged bogus beatdown that has sent the actor's career and life off the rails.

Within days, police said the brothers were considered suspects in the attack.

Glandian insisted in a television interview after police closed the investigation that Smollett had not made a false report and that the brothers attacked him, the lawsuit said.
