Woods and Molinari set for back-nine Masters showdown

Tiger Woods has won a fifth Masters.

The win comes 22 years after his first win at Augusta in 1997, and 14 his since his previous triumph on the course in 2005.

Woods shot a final round of two under par 70 to finish at 13 under, one stroke clear of Dustin Johnson, Xander Schauffele and Brooks Koepka.

The message alongside the video, reads: 'It's insane to think a 43-year-old who has experienced every high and every low and has just won his 15th major is chasing the same dream as a 3-year-old'.

The victory also marked the first time Woods had reached the winner's circle at major without leading after 54 holes. I know that I made a few mistakes the last couple tournaments, but it just felt like it was there.

The 43-year-old has capped off a remarkable return to golf's top echelons following persistent back problems and troubles in his personal life, which almost led him to an early retirement from the sport he adores.

Woods, with a big smile on his face, thrust both arms into the air as holed his final putt on the 18th green for a bogey.

Sunday's victory by Tiger was massive in more ways than one.

Woods served notice he had returned to form by contending last year at the British Open and PGA before snapping a five-year title drought by capturing the Tour Championship.

With Finau also carding a bogey and Koepka dropping a shot at the sixth, Molinari suddenly found himself alone at the top of the leaderboard with a three-shot advantage.

All eyes were on overnight leader Francesco Molinari, who led by two shots, Woods and the weather when play began as the race for the Green Jacket turned into a final sprint with the forecast predicting rain and thunderstorms.

None could go lower except Woods, with Molinari undone at the par-5 15 when his approach struck a tree limb and his chip barely clung to the side of a damp slope on the way to a double-bogey disaster.
