Galaxy A70 revealed: Samsung brings more high-end features to mid-range

The Galaxy A70 offers a huge 6.7-inch Infinity-U Full HD+ display, which has a tear-drop notch like the OnePlus 6T, and a 20:9 aspect ratio - just shy of Sony's Xperia 10 Plus's tall 21:9 ratio. The Galaxy A70 sports a 32 MP selfie shooter, while the back panel accommodates a camera setup that brings together three sensors: 32 MP f/1.7, 8 MP f/2.2 123-degree ultra wide, and a depth sensor with 5 MP and f/2.2.

The new device has an unnamed octa-core chipset (dual-core 2Ghz plus hexa-core 1.7Ghz), 6GB or 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of expandable storage.

Samsung has already confirmed to unveil a new smartphone in the Galaxy A lineup on April 10th. The Samsung Galaxy A70 runs Android 9.0 Pie operating system topped with company own layer of One UI. It is backed by a 4,500mAh non-removable battery and supports 25W Super Fast Charging. Up front, there is a 32-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture inside the minimal notch. Both the power button and volume rocker are placed on the right edge. As seen on the Galaxy A50, the new Galaxy A70 also comes with an on-screen fingerprint scanner and support face unlock.

The Galaxy A70, which boasts an, er, "3D Glasstic" rear, will be available in four colours at launch - coral, black, blue, and white. There are some blanks in the specs, as well as important information about pricing and availability, but we expect Samsung to reveal more on April 10.

"Today's consumers are using their phones in a more visually active and authentic way - sharing their experiences and staying connected longer".
