Subscription service is announced with 300+ magazines to flip through

The iPhone maker said it was working with Walt Disney Co, Sega and Annapurna Interactive on the new game service, which will feature more than 100 new titles that can be accessed through a tab in the App Store and will work on iPad, Mac and Apple TV.

With only a few hours to go before Apple unveils its new video service, we're still seeing new information surfacing on exactly what Apple is going to announce later today and what form it will take. They have reportedly signed up stars such as Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg and Jennifer Aniston.

During an onstage video montage, Apple showed snippets of several graphically-impressive games now in development for Apple Arcade, which appeared to cover a large swath of different genres, from puzzles to adventure. Adding to the success of Apple Pay, Cook has revealed that Apple Card will be their newest product. This system will be the place where Apple launches its first subscription TV service (Apple-branded) called Apple TV+, or Apple TV Plus. Abrams and Sara Bareilles announced their series about an aspiring New York City musician, Little Voice (followed by a short performance from the singer/songwriter and actress). Apple Arcade will launch in Fall 2019.

The tech giant introduced a new Apple TV app that customizes itself to the viewer's personalized preferences. If the company unveils a decent gaming service, then a good amount of users could be drawn over it. During the reveal, Apple said that the Apple Arcade service will be the world's first game subscription model and will be available on multiple platforms.

The launch was the centrepiece of an event at Apple's Cupertino, California, headquarters that focused on the technology company's services, not its hardware, as it deals with declining sales of its iPhone. Now Apple has a gaming subscription service of its own, for desktops, mobiles, and the living room, called Apple Arcade. The service will also include access to the Los Angeles Times and the Wall Street Journal, plus online-only pubs like theSkimm and TechCrunch.

Google has one, Microsoft is making one, and there are countless others presumably on the way. It's a Mastercard issued by Goldman Sachs. "Apple TV+ will be home to some of the highest quality original storytelling that TV and movie lovers have seen yet".

According to Apple, subscribing to all these publications individually would cost you more than $8,000 per year.
