Patriots owner Robert Kraft offered plea deal in Florida prostitution case

Kraft and scores of other suspected johns were arrested last month as part of a wide-ranging investigation into prostitution and sex trafficking at a string of massage parlors in Palm Beach, Martin and other counties.

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft could see his charges of soliciting prostitution dropped, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The "unusual provision" of the agreement would be for "defendants to review the evidence in the case and agree that, if it were to go to trial, the state would be able to prove their guilt" a source said.

WSJ: Florida Prosecutors Offer Robert Kraft Deal Over Solicitation Charges

What is unclear right now is if Kraft would actually accept that plea deal.

Palm Beach-based attorney Jack A. Goldberger pleaded not guilty on behalf of Kraft on February 28 and requested he receive a non-jury trial.

But at this point, in order to have the two misdemeanor charges against him dropped, he must admit that he would have been convicted.

However, the reported offer comes with a catch: The men must admit they would have been found guilty had their cases gone to trial.

Robert Kraft has reportedly been offered a get out of jail free card on charges of soliciting prostitution. Edmondson declined to say if Kraft has agreed to the offer for avoiding prosecution. Ten parlours have been closed and employees have also been charged.

In both instances, video surveillance captured a woman performing a sex act on Kraft and shows him paying in cash. His team then won the Super Bowl in Atlanta, the Patriots' sixth National Football League championship under his ownership. The documents said numerous workers were forced to live at the spas and were not allowed to leave without an escort.

Hours later, Kraft was in Kansas City for a playoff game.

"For a team owner to engage in sexual exploitation is incompatible with the NFL's personal conduct policy".
