Steelers-Bills Antonio Brown Trade Is Dead

Steelers-Bills Antonio Brown Trade Is Dead

If the two franchises were indeed close to a trade and it was Brown's agent Drew Rosenhaus who said he wouldn't report, then there's nothing the Steelers can do. Rapoport noted that while the Bills employed "stealth" in their approach, in that they were not among the teams prominently linked to him, they "have a need" at the position. CBS Sports NFL insider Jason La Canfora was the first to report on the matter.

Antonio Brown wants to be traded, just not to the Buffalo Bills. Finally, the Titans were another popular pick among National Football League pundits to land the four-time First-Team All-Pro, ranking just behind Oakland as the second betting-favorite to get Brown. The talks reportedly broke off because Brown did not want to play in Buffalo. Brown suggested as much in his comment on a now-deleted Instagram post from the NFL's official network, .

Other teams in the running include the Oakland Raiders, Washington Redskins, San Francisco 49ers and Tennessee Titans.

Barring a last-second change, the Packers won't be working with the Steelers to complete a trade for Brown.

"We inquired about Antonio Brown on Tuesday, and kept talks open with the Steelers", Beane said. Interestingly, the 49ers were not one of the teams Brown listed as primary suitors.

From there, Brown seemingly did everything possible to tank his trade value. But Pittsburgh appeared to find a solid replacement for Bell, who sat out the entire 2018 season, in James Conner, and it has an exciting young talent in wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster.

With free agency starting next week, perhaps the drama surrounding Brown will quiet down. What's going great for him?
