The Voice Singer Janice Freeman Is Dead At Age 33

Janice Freeman, a season 13 contestant on The Voice, died on Saturday at the age of 33. "While at home her husband Dion performed CPR until the ambulance arrived".

She was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead. In 2018 she publicly thanked the "Nothing Breaks Like a Heart" singer for her financial generosity when she was in need of a place to live for her and her family.

The singer made an impression during her time on the show with both her gritty soulful tones and personal spirit of survival.

The statement continued, "A survivor and fighter, and a lovely force in this world, Janice gained notoriety through her success on NBC's The Voice as a member of Miley Cyrus's team".

During her life she was forced to overcome lupus, cervical cancer and meningitis.

Freeman was a favorite on "The Voice" despite being voted off.

Freeman eventually joined Miley Cyrus's team, and was clearly one of Cyrus's favourites.

After Freeman's exit, she and Cyrus stayed in touch, and in 2018, Freeman emotionally revealed on social media that Cyrus had helped her get back on her feet and find housing, paying her family's security deposit and six months' rent. "This represents you perfectly". And though she'd battled - and beaten - those, the blood clot unfortunately, apparently caused her untimely death.

Freeman was 33 and is survived by her husband and daughter Hannah.

Freeman had previously alerted fans to her ongoing health troubles last month, sharing, "It has been a hard, trying, discouraging, mentally draining, etc last 3 months I have had to deal with in a very long time!"
