Xiaomi just unveiled an incredibly cheap 5G smartphone at MWC 2019

Those specs are pretty much the norm for flagship smartphones these days, but where Xiaomi shines is the price: The Mi 9 costs 449 euros ($509) for the 6/64GB version, and 499 euros ($566) for the 6/128GB version. Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 features a 6.39-inch Super AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 5 on top. It now features a Snapdragon 855 chipset which has Qualcomm's X50 5G modem. Xiaomi claims its 5G smartphone will be theoretically capable of downloading a 15-minute video sized 256MB in just 1 second.

Xiaomi didn't reveal the RAM and storage variations for this new Mi MIX 3 variant.

Xiaomi had launched the Mi MIX 3 smartphone in China last October. So the manufacturer has increased the battery capacity of the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 5G version from 3300mAh to 3800mAh to ensure sufficient battery life.

It also features the sliding design that allows you to access the front-facing selfie camera while having a full screen on the front without a notch. The phone has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and a USB-C port. It packs a 3,200mAh battery along with fast charging and wireless charging.

Where industry watchers kept on clamoring that the era of 5G-ready handsets will be an expensive one, forcing customers to splurge more money on devices, the Mi MIX 3 doesn't follow the same pattern. Among them is the Mi 9, getting its worldwide launch party.

It was four days ago when Xiaomi announced its latest flagship - the Xiaomi Mi 9. In addition, the global version of the Xiaomi Mi MIX3 5G also supports the Google assistant.

Additionally, Xiaomi launched the Mi LED Smart Bulb at its pre-MWC conference with a price tag of Euro 19.9 (roughly Rs. 1.600).

Pre-orders for the Mi 9 in Spain have already been started through Authorised Mi Stores, Mi.com, Cdiscount, Darty, and Fnac. It will be available in Ocean Blue, Lavender Violet, and Piano Black colours in Western Europe.
