Arjen Robben admits Anfield is his

Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben has described Anfield as his "worst stadium" as he prepares for a return to face Liverpool in the Champions League last-16 clash on Tuesday.

That has changed this season as Juergen Klopp's side are level on points with league leaders and defending champions Manchester City with a game in hand.

"They were six times in a row champions of Germany, which is not easy, and they were one of the teams in the last 10 years who were pretty much all the time in the quarter-finals, semi-finals, final of the Champions League".

"I saw it right away when he came that he would be a very important part of the team", the Finn - who is set to represent Liverpool FC Legends against Milan Glorie on March 23 - told Press Association Sport.

"It is very hard to find a weakness".

Gomez underwent surgery on a lower leg fracture earlier this month, while Lovren has not featured since suffering a hamstring injury on January 7 and did not travel with the rest of the squad for a warm weather training camp in Marbella this week.

It leaves Joel Matip as Liverpool's only fit recognised centre-back, and he'll likely be partnered by Brazilian Fabinho. They won the Champions League 2005.

And Keita said: "The dismissal left me extremely bitter".

Hamman played 143 times for Bayern and made 283 appearances for the Reds, with one season at Newcastle United to separate them.

The Croatian could be named on the bench given Liverpool's defensive problems, though.

Liverpool forward Xherdan Shaqiri is relishing a Champions League reunion with former club Bayern Munich.

Klopp did, however, take Liverpool all the way to the final last season, to go along with the Europa League final a couple of years ago-both, ultimately, lost.

So with Gomez and Van Dijk out of the picture if Dejan Lovren can not make himself fit then Klopp might just have to push a midfielder into central defence in order to partner Joel Matip.
