Tesla Disses Cats, Rolls Out Dog Mode In Over-The-Air Update

When in Dog Mode, the center screen of the vehicle displays a message letting observers know that they won't be long and that their pet is safe.

When in "dog mode", the car's centre screen will display the cabin temperature, as well as a message informing people that "my owner will be back soon". 'Dog Mode' keep the air conditioner on in the auto as well as display the car's temperature and a message for passersby on the vehicles center screen.

The feature is easily accessible through the car's settings.

If a vehicle switches to "Alarm" state, owners will also receive an alert from their Tesla mobile app notifying them that an incident has occurred.

Tesla pet owners should check with their local regulations about pets in cars as some parts of the world prohibit leaving furry friends inside vehicles under all circumstances.

Tesla has rolled out a new mode for pet owners that creates a safe environments for pets to stay in the vehicle while the owner is away.

Tesla has also rolled out a new security feature called "sentry mode".

Sentry Mode continuously monitors your car's surroundings while it's locked and parked. If a more severe threat is detected, such as someone breaking a window, Sentry Mode switches to an "Alarm" state, which activates the auto alarm, increases the brightness of the center display, and plays music at maximum volume from the car's audio system.

If - for instance - someone unwittingly leans against the auto, it switches up to the equivalent of Star Trek's yellow alert (actually called "Alert" state). When a potential threat is detected, the cameras on your auto will begin recording, and the alarm system will activate.

"While no alarm system can prevent against all vehicle thefts, break-ins and threats, we hope that with Sentry Mode and our other security features, your Tesla will be even more secure", said Tesla.
