"Harry and Meghan found it so amusing that the children beckoned them over like "We're excited to see you", and as soon as they came over they were interested in their biscuits".

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex faced wintry conditions as they met well-wishers in Bristol during their visit to the city.

She paired the dress with £531 Sarah Flint "Marina" Boots, a bespoke green suede clutch, £200, and Ralph Lauren and Herkimer Diamond Studs from go-to jeweller Pippa Small, which cost £495. After shaking Meghan's hand, the child told the royal, "Your hand is cold".

Their first engagement saw Harry and Meghan, a former actress, visit the city's Old Vic, built in 1766 and the oldest continuously working theater in the English-speaking world.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex braved the snow to meet fans during a royal engagement in Bristol on Friday.

After watching the performance, Meghan and Harry visited One25, a charity in Bristol that helps women "trapped in or vulnerable to street sex work", according to the charity's website.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry arrived a little late due to the weather.

"Thank you for warming them sweetie", Meghan replied.

The couple will later travel to Empire Fighting Chance, a charity using boxing to support children failing at school and in danger of drifting into a life of unemployment or crime.

It was another busy day for the 37-year-old on Thursday when she carried out duties as the Royal Patronage of The Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU).

During her visit, the Duchess - who has been named patron of the National Theatre - will join and watch a workshop with members of the Pericles company, which was the National Theatre's first Public Acts production in 2018.
