Hyatt Announces Participation in Google Assistant Pilot Program

In 2019, Google has already introduced Assistant integration with Google Maps, flight check-ins, hotel bookings, and greater language translation capabilities.

When a person says a trigger phrase like "Hey Google, be my Mandarin interpreter", on any Assistant-enabled device, and the device will offer translations first of what one person says and then of the response. Google Assistant is available on devices that run Android 5.0 Lollipop and higher.

Google's virtual assistant will tie-up with Google Maps for better navigation.

Back on the Google Maps Assistant integration for Android and iOS, in short, this mode would help users make use of the Assistant while on the go.

In a test with United for domestic flights, Google Assistant will soon be able to check US -based travelers for their flights.

"And if you know where you want to stay, you can book a room using the Google Assistant with partners like Choice Hotels, AccorHotels, InterContinental Hotels Group, Priceline, Expedia, Mirai and Travelclick - an Amadeus company". Currently, this feature is currently live in the USA on both Android and iOS.

Google Assistant is coming to a range of new devices, including Instant Pot's Smart WiFi Programmable Pressure Cooker, Sub Zero's refrigerator and wine store, Wolf E-Series and M-Series ovens, Cove dishwashers and the U by Moen shower.

Apart from the Lenovo Smart Clock, Google has revealed that several other device makers are planning to include the digital assistant in their devices. Google takes another lead with what they call Interpreter Mode which is basically as the name suggest, helps to interpret different languages. This means you can ask the assistant to show restaurants nearby, set up and dismiss alarms, schedule reminders and timers without unlocking your phone. Hotel bookings are also limited to just USA right now.

At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas this week, a number of companies announced they would be adding Google Assistant to their connected devices.

Unfortunately, the American tech giant has not yet discussed plans to add the feature to the Google Assistant on smartphones.
