After two trailers and two TV spots for Captain Marvel, Marvel on Monday released an extended look at the upcoming superhero movie during the College Football Playoff National Championships.

Meeting up with Nick Fury at a bar, Carol explains what she knows of her past, and we get a little more information about Jude Law's character. But Entertainment Tonight was there, and their headline says "Samuel L. Jackson Teases Nick Fury's Backstory and Captain Marvel's Ability to Time Travel".

And now, Carol Danvers is, seemingly, going to save the day both in her own movie and in Avengers: Endgame. They're Kree. I mean, if they step off then that's good, then it's done. At this point, Samuel L. Jackson's Fury is just a low-level S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, and Carol's arrival on Earth is his first encounter with the unusual and extraterrestrial. He fires back, "Says the space soldier who was wearing a rubber suit".

Alongside the fresh Captain Marvel extended spot, Marvel unveiled three incredible new posters for the film - one for the IMAX version, another for the Dolby Cinema format, and one for the RealD 3-D version. Hasbro's Marvel Legends action figure priced at $19.99 will feature swappable parts, which will include Captain Marvel's Mohawk helmet. "And at some point, we'll find out how powerful she is and all the things that she's capable of".

Set in the 1990s, the events of this film will tie into the Avengers sequel set to be released in May this year. Agent Coulson died in the 2012 film, The Avengers. Do you want entirely new footage from Marvel's next hotly-anticipated addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

Fans have already gotten to see a taste of what that looks like.

Captain Marvel hits theaters March 8, followed by Avengers: Endgame Apr. 26.
