A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket soars upward after lifting off from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida at 4:30 p.m. EDT, on April 2, 2018, carrying the SpaceX Dragon resupply spacecraft.

Falcon 9 B1050 seen shortly before a grid fin lost control, throwing the rocket into a near-uncontrollable spin.

Now, SpaceX head honcho Elon Musk has shared some clearer video of what, exactly, happened and what went wrong on the Falcon's journey back to Earth. "Recovery ship dispatched", Musk wrote, latter adding: "We may use it for an internal SpaceX mission". Hans claimed that the water landing was pretty much smooth and today's incident showed how SpaceX's rocket are created to save itself in case if anything goes wrong.

There was an initial mishap on takeoff as the SpaceX booster missed its landing zone on the ground, ending up in the sea instead.

It seems that once the stalled fin extended fully, the rocket nearly regained control and came in for a landing almost like normal, but off target, in the water.

When the Dragon arrives, it will join five other spacecraft already at the station.

After it released its payload into Earth's orbit, the SpaceX booster was recovered safely in the Pacific Ocean, according to a SpaceX spokesperson.

"Public safety was well protected here", he told reporters.

Astronauts who are lucky enough to score a gig aboard the International Space Station make a lot of sacrifices in the name of science.

On Wednesday afternoon, unmanned SpaceX Falcon 9 successfully lifted off at approximately 1:16 P.M for the worldwide space station.

The mold had grown on food for 40 mice which, along with 36,000 worms, were also shipped to the space station for aging and muscle studies.

The scientists expect that there will be a huge increase in the population of worms which the space station will be able to accommodate. However, as Associated Press reported, the departure of the rocket got delayed by a day since the food of the mice was found to have turned mouldy by the Nasa and more food had to be brought in from California. The mission also marks SpaceX's 20th launch of the year.
