It didn't help San Francisco's cause that linebacker Rueben Foster was arrested at the team hotel on Saturday night and charged with one count of domestic violence.
"You expect after you've done so much for a franchise, they wouldn't cut you while you're hurt", Sherman said Thursday as he prepares to return to Seattle for the first time this weekend as a member of the San Francisco 49ers.
"I thought it was really sh-y, to be honest with you, how it ended", Baldwin said, per The News Tribune.
Wilson and Sherman played together on the Seahawks team that won Super Bowl XLVIII in 2014 and nearly won another the following year. "It's kind of more of a respect thing than anything". "We were teammates. We played through a very special time for the franchise".
"Everything I've had to say about him and that whole situation, I've already said", Sherman said.
The 49ers (2-9) will travel to Seattle on Sunday to face the Seahawks (6-5) with kickoff set for 4:25 p.m. ET.
Head coach Pete Carroll of the Seattle Seahawks congratulates cornerback Richard Sherman #25 and quarterback Russell Wilson #3 after they scored the final touchdown of the game in the fourth quarter against the Arizona Cardinals at University of Phoenix Stadium on December 21, 2014 in Glendale, Arizona.
These developments will yet again limit the San Francisco passing tree, which will likely give even more looks to tight end George Kittle.
"Once it's all said and done and everybody who is playing is done playing, people will be more disappointed of what could have been with such a talented group of players", Sherman said.
Seahawks receiver Doug Baldwin, a longtime college and professional teammate of Sherman's, played the role of Sherman in the video.
"From a humanistic standpoint it's very hard to separate those emotions", Baldwin said.
Sherman has quickly ingratiated himself in San Francisco after being despised for so long by the 49ers.
For his part, Wilson was cordial when asked about his former teammate.
"The way he works, you'd think he's just trying to make the team", Staley said.
