Alec Baldwin arrested after argument over parking spot

He is expected to be charged with assault in the third degree, a misdemeanor crime carrying a maximum punishment of one year in jail. Police said that the charges - and the question of bail - were up to the District Attorney to decide. The 60-year-old actor was arrested in New York City on November 2, per TMZ, after getting into a spat with a fellow motorist over a parking spot.

Baldwin, 60, allegedly struck an unidentified 49-year-old man, sending him to the hospital, in the city's West Village neighborhood. He is at the 6th precinct.

Baldwin also received backlash in 2013 for lobbing a gay slur against a photographer attempting to capture his wife and infant son on camera.

Baldwin punched the man in the jaw, the celebrity news site TMZ reports.

Baldwin will appear in court at a later date, according to the NYPD.

Baldwin and Thomas married in 2012 and have four children.

An ABC spokeswoman had no comment about Baldwin's arrest, other than to say his talk show will air Sunday night as scheduled. In 2014, he was arrested for disorderly conduct after allegedly riding his bike the wrong way up Fifth Avenue.

This wouldn't be the first time that the 30 Rock actor was caught in a scandal like this.

Sure, driving in Manhattan is aggravating, but this is ridiculous, Alec Baldwin.
