Wagner warns Huddersfield of Klopp's injury 'smokescreens'

Huddersfield are yet to win a match this season and now sit 18th in the Premier League, although Klopp considers their record to be slightly misleading.

Mohamed Salah and Naby Keita came back with hamstring problems while Sadio Mane broke a thumb training with Senegal.

After Salah suffered a muscle injury playing for Egypt (he also scored straight from a corner because, why not?) and VVD left the Netherlands squad after their win over Germany at the weekend due to his ongoing rib injury, all of a sudden the injuries are mounting up for Jurgen Klopp.

James Milner also trained on Thursday, having injured his hamstring in Liverpool's game with Manchester City over the global break.

Huddersfield boss David Wagner celebrates his 47th birthday on Friday but Reds boss Klopp will not be giving him a gift.

"I understand that you all want to know it but I never get any information on injuries from other teams!"

"We will probably fail with one or two but we will try everything that they will be on the pitch or available at least. Until then, you have to wait".

Liverpool's depth is expected to be tested with six games in the next 23 days including crunch Champions League clashes home and away with Red Star Belgrade. The hope is he will play some part against Arsenal in Liverpool's first game of November.

"I can tell a little story when we had our pre-match analysis meeting", he said.

The 24-year-old summer signing hailed the "excellent" Liverpool attacker and revealed he liked what he saw when watching him on TV prior to his Anfield move.

"We will see what we do".

Warming to his theme, Klopp added: "Do we want to have opera every night or every two months?"
