This new consumable item changes gameplay completely.
This is one of the main new additions and it can be found in the centre of Loot Lake. Its weekly updates bring new content and game modes that make it near impossible for players to get bored. The lore in Season 6 is centered around a runic purple cube first seen coming from the giant rift in the sky and descending into Loot Lake, turning the water purple and making players bounce off of it on contact.
Some players are reporting seeing the Floating Island in different areas around the new #Fortnite Map in Playground. It just has a floating island on top of it now. This season's battle pass owners get two new skins, Calamity and DJ Yonder.
Keep an eye on our Fortnite Season 6 hub page as we update the page with the latest changes.
As for the map, players will find that there are "corrupted areas" now (dark patches in image above), which is where you may come across Shadow Stones. Hopefully it will make its way back into the game soon after the needed repairs are implemented and the Port-a-Fortress can return alongside the new Shadow Stones.
Other changes celebrate autumn.
You can also unlock new pets that work like very animated backbling, reacting to when you fire your gun or take damage.
As we've seen in past seasons, what we have right now at the start of Season 6 is now how the map will look by the end of this 10-week season.
