Meghan Markle has attended the opening of a new "Oceania" exhibition - featuring items from New Zealand and Polynesia - in her first royal solo outing since marrying Prince Harry in May. Closing her own door humanized the Duchess, made her more relatable and more lovable.
The gesture is so mechanical few people even notice it.
"Good thing she has arms and is able to close the door!"
But one royal correspondent tried to bring everyone back to their senses by noting that Meghan had not, in fact, breached any protocol.
Another wrote: "I give up on this world when people are congratulating a person shutting a auto door on their own".
She then shook hands with one of her hosts before shutting the vehicle door behind her.
In one recent rant, Samantha referred to her half-sister as a "ducha**" and claimed that if their father passed away it would be because of her. "It is something she's always done herself like the rest of us".
It's official - Prince Harry is a feminist, Meghan Markle revealed today.
The royal stepped out her auto, having her door opened for her, and was welcomed by Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London Sir Kenneth Olisa.
Making her arrival, Meghan is seen getting out of the auto having had the door opened for her.
He said: "Usually royalty and dignitaries have someone to open/close auto doors for security reasons: nothing to do with "princess behaviour".
As cameras flashed, the duchess smiled, greeted her host and then pushed the auto door shut before walking into the academy in central London, where she was visiting an exhibition of works from the Oceania region.
"Meghan clearly just shut the door out of force of habit".
