Manigault Newman went on to become Assistant to the President and Director of Communications for the Office of Public Liaison.

This is just one of a list of claims made by Omarosa Manigault Newman in a book lifting the lid on her former boss that threatens to reduce what's left of Trump's reputation to tatters - and could even destroy his presidency.

In the book, Manigault Newman, who was a contestant on Mr Trump's The Apprentice reality show and later served as a senior adviser to the president, hurls a litany of allegations, painting the president as scattered, self-absorbed, misogynistic and insecure. The Post has reviewed the agreement. Apparently, she's got some secretly recorded audio of Trump that she's already shared with her close friends and will release in her book, which will be called Unhinged.

Now, though, she says she's since heard the tape. "They told me I could work from home, if I wanted to work". They tell me I can't leave.

"Instead of telling the truth about all the good President Trump and his administration are doing to make America safe and prosperous, this book is riddled with lies and false accusations", she said.

On Saturday, Trump blasted Newman as a "lowlife" in response to questions from reporters about her claims.

Republican National Committee chair Ronna McDaniel suggested that Manigault Newman should be prosecuted if she's found to have broken any federal laws for recording a conversation in the Situation Room. It's where contingency plans for nuclear launches have been developed. "If I didn't have this recording, listen, people would still think trying to set off alarms".

"It's a system based on honor and integrity, and there's a sign outside that says, 'Place your phones here, ' " he said.

In February, Politico reported that Manigault Newman was sacked for using a White House vehicle service as a pick-up and drop-off service.

While the contents of the recording are not anything incriminating to the White House, the fact that she recorded a conversation within the Situation Room, is the real concern here.

She says that during his time at The Apprentice Trump used the N-word "multiple times" and, according to three sources she knows, there is a tape to prove it. Trump launched his political career advancing the birther conspiracy about President Barack Obama. "I had a blind spot when it came to Donald Trump".

Manigault Newman: "I don't want to negotiate. Obviously, I failed miserably".

Now, Manigault Newman insists that her former mentor and boss is a "racist".
