Mediaite first reported that Huntsman will rejoin former Fox News co-host Meghan McCain on the long-running female roundtable opinion program, replacing Sara Haines who left the show to join the third hour of "Good Morning America".

A source familiar with the situation told Deadline Huntsman is expected to land at The View, though no deal is done.

Huntsman will host Fox and Friends Weekend for the last time this Saturday and Sunday, spokesperson for the news network told E!

Huntsman is the daughter of Ambassador to Russia Jon Huntsman and has hosted "Fox & Friends Weekend" since 2016. Huntsman made waves with plenty of her Fox viewers over her leaving the Mormon church over support for equal rights for women and LGBT persons.

Huntsman joins "The View" after several news outlets have sought to burnish their Republican credentials with Donald Trump in the White House and Republicans ascendant in both the House of Representatives and the Senate. Prior to that, she worked for MSNBC and HuffPost Live. Her father also served as U.S. Ambassador to China under President Obama. One thing that she will lose is her unofficial title of the "hottest reporter on Fox", as bestowed upon her by her fans and Instagram followers. "I'm honored to go down with this brand sitting behind me every day". I'm honored to sit here.
