Ryan Murphy took to Twitter to personally announce the news that numerous cast members for American Horror Story: Coven will return for the series including Taissa Farmiga, Lily Rabe, Gabourey Sidibe, Frances Conroy, and legendary rock singer Stevie Nicks.

As we know, the eighth season this infamous horror series will be a crossover between seasons 1 and 3 of the show, "Murder House" and "Coven". The Hollywood Reporter notes that in addition to Nicks, the cast's latest additions include Taissa Farmiga, Gabourey Sidibe, Lily Rabe, and Frances Conroy, all of whom (aside from the Gold Dust Woman, of course) have appeared on other AHS seasons, too.

Farmiga, Rabe, and Conroy all have two characters they can potentially reprise, Murder House's Violet Harmon, Nora Montgomery, and Moira O'Hara, and/or Coven's Zoe Benson, Misty Day, and Myrtle Snow, respectively.

Also confirmed for the new season: Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Adina Porter, Emma Roberts, Cheyenne Jackson, Billy Eichner, Leslie Grossman and Billie Lourd.

Below, revisit Nicks' performance of "Rhiannon" from the episode. It was recently reported that Jessica Lange will be coming back to the show.

Non-character details about Apocalypse are sparse.

During the show's TCA panel this month, Apocalypse executive producer Alexis Martin Woodall said the season's title should be taken at face value.

American Horror Story: Apocalypse is set to premiere on 12 September.
