Arsenal set to face Ousmane Dembele competition from Manchester United

In a bid that has been labelled "disrespectful" and "pathetic" by fans, Manchester United have unsurprisingly rejected an offer for World Cup winning midfielder, Paul Pogba.

Willian's future this transfer window has been uncertain, with Barcelona and Manchester United reportedly interested in the 29-year-old's services.

Pogba is now tempted to leave United for Barça - and it now seems clear that Mourinho is one of the main reasons why.

Reports in Spain suggest Arsenal could be set to conclude their summer transfer business with an audacious £89m swoop for Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele after manager Unai Emery convinced the club to sign the 21-year-old. According to Italian news outlet Calciomercato, French midfielder Paul Pogba's agent has met up with Barcelona chiefs and negotiated on a deal to lure the United star to Camp Nou.

A number of top quality players have been linked to joining the Premier League outfit but most of these players do not want to play under Jose Mourinho due to his style of play.

The World Cup victor, 25, contacted Red Devils supremo Ed Woodward this week to say he fancies an Old Trafford exit during this window.

Mourinho appeared to question Pogba's effort and heart while playing for his club, saying, "I don't think it's about us getting the best out of him [at Manchester United], it's about him giving the best he has to give".

Pogba shone for France at the World Cup away from Mourinho's influence, but was then angered to hear his manager criticising him from afar.

Chelsea winger Willian, though supposedly happy at Chelsea, has revealed that he's targeting a reunion with former manager Jose Mourinho.

United have also been linked with moves for Barcelona's Yerry Mina and Tottenham's Toby Alderweireld but both club's value the two defenders highly.
