A Kansas City-area woman is being accused of letting men rape her 2-year-old daughter.
Azzie C. Watson, 25, of Independence faces three counts of abuse or neglect and one count of endangerment because her children allegedly lived in the presence of methamphetamine and amphetamine.
Kansas City police said they were called to a hospital on June 29 on a reported rape.
In the recording, Watson tells about watching two men rape her daughter in April of this year and taking her daughter to meetings where she was raped at least five times.
The recording is said to have been made by Watson's boyfriend, but she denied its contents were true when confronted by police.
Medical records stated that the child tested positive for chlamydia, a sexually transmitted disease.
The two children living with Watson have since been removed from the home, the station reported.
So far, no additional suspects have been arrested in connection to the child's rape. Both of the children had scarred feet, embedded with sharp metal objects, which Watson said may have happened from walking around without shoes in the motorcycle shop. She said she was a coward for not doing anything. She also said she was embarrassed about going back and she knew it "was bad and so wrong", according to police.
Watson remains in the Wyandotte County jail.
On June 29, Watson was arrested for failure to appear in court and her two children were taken into protective custody. When officers arrived, they spoke with an Independence officer who had taken Green into custody on an unrelated offense. She said she had never housed foster children who did not ask for their parent.
