Vulture, meanwhile, has revealed that the show will be titled, "Who Is America? having spotted posters in Brooklyn which say, "You've been warned" and appear to show Sacha Baron Cohen peeking out with sunglasses on".
Who Is America? is set to premiere in the States on Sunday 15 July, with no set release date for this side of the Atlantic just yet.
Watch two teaser videos for Who Is America? - which feature former US Vice President Dick Cheney for some reason - below.
Cheney, of course, is known for staunchly defending the controversial torture tactic known as waterboarding, which simulates the experience of drowning. "That's a first - that's the first time I ever signed a waterboard".
"Imagine if Sacha Baron Cohen had been undercover secretly filming a new show for a year", the teaser's text reads, before flashing a quick montage of very Cohen-y images like a fake mustache, a naked butt and President Obama dressed as a Sunni cleric.
"Glad to see that Sacha Baron Cohen's new movie is not only a dud but not too good at the box office", he tweeted in 2012.
After teasing a mysterious Trump-bashing project on July 4, Cohen unveiled a clip from his new interview-based show, featuring Dick Cheney. Behind the elaborate setup is a genuine quest for the truth about people, places and politics.
Who Is America? marks Baron Cohen's first series television project since Da Ali G Show, which aired on Channel 4 in the United Kingdom and HBO in the US.
Last week, however, Cohen resurfaced on Twitter and posted a video of Trump urging him to "go to school, learn about being amusing".
