The video opened with text reading: "Imagine if Sacha Baron Cohen had been undercover secretly filming a new show for a year".
That's right, Cohen got a former American vice-president to sign his waterboard kit. This is gonna be a good 'un.
There has also been a sighting in the wild of stealth advertising for the show, one of which features the potential title "Who is America?".
Sacha teased a clip Sunday on Twitter about his upcoming new project. and for unknown reasons Sacha decided Cheney was his next ideal victim by getting him to sign his "waterboard kit". "The creators won't let us show you a scene, the lawyers won't let us tell you the name of the star, and we can't even reveal the show's title or we'd be breaking or non disclosure agreement", it said in another recent promo video. But apart from a few cryptic videos teasing the July 15 premiere of "perhaps the most risky show in the history of television", we knew little about the new series.
"You've been warned", the posters tease, while giving us the first glance of Cohen's character - a guy suspiciously peeking out of American flags with various eyewear.
"That's a first - first time I've ever signed a waterboard", Cheney says, apparently unaware he's being pranked by Baron Cohen.
Leave it to comedian Sacha Baron Cohen to convince his interview subjects to do just about anything. Asks a text slide in the teaser for Cohen's new show, which cuts to a montage of various, freaky video shots.
