The 28-year-old, who now holds WBA, IBF and WBO titles and boasts an undefeated professional record, picked up an MBE back in 2013 after claiming Olympic gold at the London 2012 Games.

Japan-born Nobel prize-winning author Kazuo Ishiguro, knighted for his services to literature, said he was "deeply touched to receive this honour from the nation that welcomed me as a small foreign boy".

Professor Rosemary Davis, from Moreton-in-Marsh, who is Professor Emeritus at University College London, is made CBE for services to education.


Poet Kate Clanchy said she would like to think her MBE honours her work in schools.

Jennifer Westacott has overcome many challenges throughout a career that took her to the top of the public service before similar success in the world of business.

Sister Imelda Poole, president of European anti-trafficking network Renate, receives an MBE for services to combating modern slavery. Previously she worked for the National Trust.


Following a campaign to honor more women in the community, the upcoming Queen's Birthday Honours List shows a record 15% increase in female recipients compared to the Australia Day 2018 Honours List.
