Tuesday and Wednesday will see high temperatures in the 80s and low 90s. Widespread severe storms are not expected, but some areas could see hail and strong winds this afternoon and evening.
SUNDAY (Father's Day): Rain chances will begin to increase by afternoon. By Wednesday hopefully the showers and storms will be more scattered and the sun will try to shine through.
Today: Mostly cloudy, showers/storms late.
We're pretty much picking up right where we left off this weekend as dry weather prevails to kick off this work week. Some of these storms are likely to be strong to severe with high winds, very large hail, and even an isolated tornado as threats.
The activity will end overnight, with just a few clouds remaining.
It will be hot and humid again with highs in the upper 80's.
Monday we will continue the trend of wet weather with another 50% chance throughout the day.
Meteorologists say temperatures on Tuesday will also be around 5 to 10 degrees warmer than today, with highs back into the mid 70s across the region. We can expect mostly cloudy skies with perhaps some sunshine breaking through the clouds later this afternoon.
Spotty showers and thunderstorms will linger through the evening hours. Highs will reach in the upper 80s to near 90s with nights near 70 most of next week.
