Square Enix’s E3 showcase was a bust

Square Enix had a handful of new trailers and gameplay sequences to reveal during its E3 press conference Monday afternoon.

Not much is really shown in the trailer but anything from Platinum Games is worth keeping an eye out for. Despite the Luminary being on the receiving end of a monologue about how harsh their life has been so far - and then taking part in a battle against the undead - it's all quite strangely celebratory. Although it came out in Japan last year, it will finally make its way to the United States on September 4th of this year.

There was very little information on it, other than the implication that it has a pretty complex backstory and what seems to be a tone more similar to Dark Souls than Bayonetta.

Echoes of an Elusive Age E3 2018 trailer provides some background on the story of the hunted Luminary and his loyal companions.

Another new title announced during the stream was A Quiet Man.

Just Cause 4 received the EDM treatment in a trailer that showcased its violently volatile world and weather, as well as a few snippets of gameplay.

The Kingdom Hearts III Deluxe Edition and Bring Arts Sora, Donald, and Goofy Set bundled separately will be available in limited quantities for $229.99.

Game Director Daniel Chayer-Bisson says that Lara will "have to confront a brutal jungle environment" in the upcoming adventure title, and we get our first in-depth look at the lush setting in the demo. Monster Hunter: World and Final Fantasy XIV will be pairing up in Summer 2018 as the Rathalos appears in FFXIV.
