Neal Boyd Dies: 'America's Got Talent' Winner Dead at 42

Boyd, who appeared in season 3 of the United States talent competition, passed away in Sikeston, Missouri home. The 42-year-old was found dead at his mother's house in his hometown of Sikeston, Missouri. He allegedly had a known a health condition related to his heart.

The opera singer was best known as the champion of the third series of the USA talent show back in 2008, when he was hailed by judges Sharon Osbourne, Piers Morgan and David Hasselhoff.

Boyd had ailments including kidney failure and liver problems.

Neal rose to fame on America's Got Talent, where he won over the public and judges with his operatic voice.

America's Got Talent star Neal Boyd has passed away on Sunday 10 June.

It's claimed that Neal was at his mother's home in Sikeston, Missouri in the United States when he died.

In 2017, Boyd was in a near-fatal auto accident after he blacked out while behind the wheel of a vehicle. "I shattered a lot of bones, and shattered my hip, which has left me nearly unable to use that leg for now", he told the outlet in February. He released his album "My American Dream" the following year.

"Boyd also ran unsuccessfully as a Republican for a southeast Missouri House of Representatives seat, losing in the general election in 2012 and in the primary in 2014", the AP reports.
