At the end of the trailer, Ubisoft re-introduced Jade - the main character of the original Beyond Good and Evil game. Players will actually be able to contribute assets like art and music to be included in Beyond Good and Evil 2 through a new Ubisoft partnership with HitRecord.
The plan is to invite the community to help create music, artwork and radio segments which will feature throughout Beyond Good & Evil 2's world through HitRecord. The game promises solo and co-op multiplayer in a "vast and seamless online playground", which will take place in a new solar system. Inside, we see a couple of crew members, including Pey'J - who you may remember as Jade's pig-like uncle from the original Beyond Good & Evil - serving as the ship's chef. While private enterprises fight over resources and power, the first colonists weave together the rich and diverse cultural heritage of "Old Earth" to give meaning to their existence. In this new era of piracy, we will rise from lowly pirate to legendary captain at the helm of massive star-faring vessels, adventuring alongside crews of colorful characters to fight for freedom and the right to determine our own fate among the stars!
French video game giant Ubisoft is teaming up with a firm founded by actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt to crowd source material for a forthcoming title, the companies announced Monday on the eve of the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3).
Beyond Good and Evil 2 is in development for unspecified platforms.
