Robert Whittaker vs. Yoel Romero II is going ahead after all

In laymen's terms, if one were to bet $1 on Mike Jackson they could win an additional.53 cents; however, if a $1 bet was placed on a winning CM Punk, the bettor would take home an additional $1.55. The Australian fighter has not fought since then.

The Cuban fighter was approached by Whittaker yesterday, with the Kiwi born fighter telling his rival not to worry and that their MMA bout will still go ahead at UFC 225.

Romero originally weighed in at 186 pounds and had two hours to cut to make championship weight. In their first fight he attempted half as many strikes as Whittaker but landed them at a higher rate.

When SN talked to Whittaker recently and asked whether he would still take the fight if Romero missed weight again, the middleweight champion, who came in at 185 pounds, made it clear he would not. That suggests there is potential for a stoppage. Also, Rafael dos Anjos will fight controversial up-and-comer Colby Covington in the interim welterweight fight.

Anderson (8-2) is the bigger and more powerful striker, but Holm has sharpened her skills over years of boxing and kickboxing. Romero won via third round knockout. Tuivasa believers should probably expect another quick knockout, while skeptics might look at a safe play on Arlovski dragging out the fight and testing the younger artist's staying power.

Phil "CM Punk" Brooks' sophomore octagon outing produced the same result as his first.
