Ryan Gosling fills the role of Armstrong in the film, with Emmy-winning The Crown actress Claire Foy playing Armstrong's wife Janet. Universal has unveiled the first official trailer for Damien Chazelle's highly anticipated next film, titled First Man, a look at the life of astronaut Neil Armstrong leading up to his voyage on Apollo 11 and first steps on the moon in July of 1969.
Apart from the aforementioned cast, Kyle Chandler, Corey Stoll, Pablo Schreiber, Ciaran Hinds, Lukas Haas, Jason Clarke, and Christopher Abbott are on the roster. A visceral, first-person account, based on the book by James R. Hansen, the movie will explore the sacrifices and the cost-on Armstrong and on the nation-of one of the most unsafe missions in history. The film includes interviews with reporters, asking him hard questions.
