One witness saw the incident unfold and saw how Mr McIntyre was attacked in his auto and robbed by hammer-wielding thugs, who drove away on a moped.
He continued to say that the TV personality had to comfort his son after he had seen the incident.
The attack happened at about 2pm, in the London suburb of Hampstead - an affluent area of the United Kingdom capital, and McIntyre was driving a large Range Rover.
"The victim was stationary in his vehicle when two males on a moped smashed the auto windows with a hammer before stealing property", a statement said.

Terrifyingly, it's thought that Michael's 10-year-old son Oscar was also in the auto, having just been picked up by his father.
Elsewhere, MailOnline reported another witness said: "The guy at the front of the moped started to hit the driver's window about ten to 15 times and it eventually just cracked".
In 2009, the then unknown comedian shot to fame after the success of his BBC television show Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow and has been a household name ever since.
A witness told Daily Mail that Michael fell out of the vehicle during the attack and it seemed as though he was trying to fight off the robbers.
No injuries were reported and no arrests have been made, they said.
"He is absolutely fine and helping police with their enquiries".
