Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool target Jasper Cillessen 'going to the Premier League’

Chelsea and Arsenal have both been linked with a summer move for Barcelona goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen as they look to recruit a new No 1.

Cillessen has a release clause of £52million and has admitted Barcelona will not sell him for anything less, despite having been back-up to Marc-Andre ter Stegen last season.

And hence, Arsenal are expected to fight Liverpool for Cillessen's signature, instead of Chelsea.

After Loris Karius' disastrous Champions League final display, Liverpool are looking to sign a new number one, to replace both him and Simon Mignolet.

Initially, it was just Liverpool who were interested in signing the 29-year old, but Arsenal and Chelsea, too, are interested.

Screaming for a summer move.

According to Spanish outlet SPORT, Barcelona will not let the Dutchman go for anything less than his €60 million (£52m) release clause. But, Chelsea and Arsenal seems to have entered the chase to further complicate the matters.

However, Chelsea are also keen on the Dutch global as they line-up potential replacements for Thibaut Courtois amid speculation he's heading back to Spain having failed to sign a new contract.

The Blues have been linked with a move for Jack Butland but Cillessen could be a far better option at the reported price of €30 million, which is cheaper than what Stoke City are asking for the Englishman. Even if Cillessen proves beyond reach, Arsenal have their sights set on other targets, including Bayer Leverkusen keeper Bernd Leno. Liverpool have the edge of Champions League football.
