The company will be launching these newly announced smartphones along with Galaxy J6 in India on May 21st. Samsung Galaxy J6 price in India is expected to be Rs. 12990 for 32GB variant costs around Rs. 12990.
The J6 is expected to be a budget offering and will be priced in the Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000 bracket. The Galaxy A6+ will come with an MRP of Rs 28,000. It's going to do just that with the Galaxy J6, although India Today Tech has learned there may be at least one more Galaxy J phone coming along with Samsung's hallmark Infinity display in the days to come. "Samsung doubled its share in the premium-tier ($600-800), but faced tough competition in the mid and low-tier segments from Chinese OEMs (Oppo, Vivo, Huawei, Xiaomi)", the report noted.
If rumours are anything to be believed, the Galaxy J6 will feature a 5.6-inch HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 720x1480 pixels, which is surprising since even budget devices at this age offer a better display. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details about these upcoming Samsung smartphones!
The J6 model will be available in stores from May 22 with three different storage options (2 GB/3GB/4GB RAM) and up to 64 GB internal storage.
On the camera front, the device is enabled with a 13-megapixel sensor at the back followed by an 8-megapixel front-facing snapper. There is also support for Samsung Pay for making mobile payments. The phone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 450 chipset with a maximum clock speed of 1.8GHz.
Other leaks suggest a that the phone might pack a 3,000 mAh battery. It comes with Dolby Atmos for an immersive sound experience through headphones.
