Earlier this month, HMD Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas promised that the second SIM will support LTE and the company has now kept its promise as it has rolled out an OTA update that brings VoLTE support to the second SIM slot.
When Nokia launched the Nokia 7 Plus in India, the device was missing one important feature which has become very important since the launch of Reliance Jio - dual 4G VoLTE support. The Android Security patch of May 2018 is also included in the update.
The device was also lacking the much needed Face Unlock feature and sadly even after this update nothing changes. Hopefully, that will come with the next update.
While the update has brought dual 4G VoLTE support, the company has still not released the Face unlock feature, which it had promised during the launch of the device. As per an image on FoneArena, the update comes with a size of 441 MB so it is recommended to download it via a secure WiFi connection to avoid failed download.
The Nokia 7 Plus sports a 6-inch full-HD+ IPS display with Gorilla Glass on top and 18:9 aspect ratio. It is fueled by a massive 3,800 mAh battery that also supports fast charging. Besides getting the new 4G LTE support, the phone also features Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth and Global Positioning System under its connectivity options. It ships with stock Android 8.1 Oreo, and is part of the Android One platform. Both front and back cameras are equipped with Carl Zeiss lenses.
As for photography, you get dual-rear cameras with a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 13-megapixel secondary sensor. For taking selfies, the Nokia 7 Plus comes with a 16-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture.
