The children range in age from 4 months to 12 years old.

Her bail was raised to $495,000, while Allen remains in jail on $5.2 million bail, the network reported. An attorney who represented Rogers in court Wednesday declined to comment after the hearing.

The bathroom is strewn with faeces at the four bedroom Californian home where authorities removed 10 children.

They found a home filled with rotted food and human and animal waste, said Fairfield Lt. Greg Hurlbut. Still, Rogers, while she was out on bail for her initial charges of child neglect earlier this week, gave reporters an open-house tour of what she insisted was a loving if unconventional home. "He looks like a scary individual, and that's why people are so quick to judge him", she said. "I am an awesome mother".

Allen was charged with seven counts of torture and nine counts of felony child abuse, by the Solano County District Attorney's Office on Monday. Rogers later told reporters that the boy had left home angry because she had taken his computer tablet away.

The missing child, 12, was eventually found sleeping in a neighbor's yard. When they brought they child home, officers searched the residence "due to concerns for the safety and health of the child and the child's siblings". Pictures obtained by ABC affiliate KGO show furniture, trash and toys scattered at every angle, as if a storm had torn through the home. She was launched after posting $10,000 bail on April 9.

Solano County's Child Welfare Services department officials did not immediately respond to requests Tuesday for details about the visit, or information about other interactions they may have had with members of the household.

Their mother, Ina Rogers, denied nine counts of felony child abuse at Solano Superior Court in California on Wednesday. "This case came in as a child endangerment, based upon the conditions of the house".

In an emotional and sometimes rambling interview, Allen said the allegations that he sadistically tortured his children were false and he believes the children were "manipulated" by "brainwashed" police.

The children did not need medical attention but in the past few weeks eight of them said they had been abused, with allegations of burns, bruising, puncture wounds and injuries consistent with being shot with a pellet gun, authorities said.

"The children appeared to be skittish and spoke with speech impediments", she wrote.

Within the filed report, Deputy District Lawyer Veronic Juarez stated Rogers assisted within the abuse of her kids and persuaded them to not say something as a method to guard Allen. Both parents deny the abuse.

Police arrested Northern California parents, Ina Rogers and Jonathan Allen, and removed their 10 children, after finding garbage and feces covering the house. She was allowed to keep the children at that time. "Absolutely not. Absolutely not", Rogers told KTXL. She called Allen a monster.

He pleaded no contest to corporal injury as part of a deal with prosecutors.

Rogers on Monday - while still out on bail - held a sort of news conference at her home.

"My kids get bumped and bruised and scratched because they're kids, but that's it". The children reportedly bore "varying forms of scars" and had endured serious injuries, including broken limbs.

She said she felt unfairly judged for her lifestyle. The state has no record of any of the children attending public school.
