HMD Global has launched another budget smartphone in China, the Nokia X6. The company announced the launch of a new smartphone on May 16, and so far, it has shown the front of the smartphone in a teaser, which highlighted the iPhone X-style notch in the display.

The high-end Nokia X6 will make its debut in the mobile phone market. Dubbed as Nokia X6, the smartphone will go on sale in China from 21st May, for a starting price of 1,299 Yuan, which roughly converts to $204.

The Nokia X6 is officially priced at CNY1,299 (Rs 13,800 approx) for the 4 GBRAM + 32 GB internal storage variant, at CNY 1,499 (Rs 16,000 approx) for the 4 GBRAM+64 GBinternal storage variant and at CNY1,699 (Rs 18,100 approx.) for the 6 GBRAM+ 64 GBinternal storage variant. It has an aspect ratio of 19:9. The smartphone also supports microSD card up to 256GB. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor and comes with 4GB/6GB RAM options. There is expected to be 32GB/ 64GB onboard storage, expandable up to 128GB. There is no information if the smartphone will be coming to India or not.

In terms of battery, The Nokia X6 has a 3060 mAh battery pack, comes with Quick Charge 3.0 and a 18W charger that can deliver up to 50 percent charge in 30 minutes.

HMD Global is preparing a slew of next-generation Nokia smartphones and one of them is the budget-centric, Nokia 3 (2018).

The vertically placed dual-camera setup is in the usual Nokia position but, the "Carl Zeiss" branding is missing. On the front, it will mark a 16MP sensor with "AI Skills". The dual-camera setup will be able to take portrait shots, a feature that has become very popular recently. When it comes to selfies, the X6 has a 16-megapixel front camera, similar to the main rear shooter, and has the same f/2.0 aperture and 1-micron pixel sensor.

The Nokia X6 can be a solid offering in India if HMD Global gets the pricing right.
