Andre 3000 has just unveiled two new tracks on Mother's Day. It features Andre on bass clarinet and James Blake on keys, and sounds as though it may be largely improvised. "So #Andre3000 shares a song on Mother's Day about his mom who passed on his bday...& his dad who passed a year later and damn man this his heartbreakingly wonderful", wrote The Roots drummer.

"Me&My" was written before his parents died, but was recorded three years ago (after both parents passed), his representative confirmed to Pitchfork.

In addition to the music, André created an Instagram account, where he shared screenshots of text message conversations with his mother, who died in 2013, a day after the musician's 37th birthday.

The second track, "Look Ma No Hands", is a clarinet and piano instrumental. "Happy Mother's Day", he wrote in one caption on Instagram.

André 3000 celebrated Mother's Day by surprising fans with a tribute to his mom, complete with family photos, fond memories and a 17-minute jazz meditation.

He released the two tracks, titled "Look Ma No Hands" and 'Me&My (To Bury Your Parents)', on Soundcloud to honour his parents, who have both passed away, NME reports.
