The Molly's Game star was frustrated by the depictions of women in the films she judged.

Global A-listers Jessica Chastain, Fan Bingbing and Oscar winners Marion Cotillard, Lupita Nyong'o and Penelope Cruz really want to make a female-led spy movie.

Universal has beaten out multiple bidders to take US rights on 355, the Simon Kinberg-directed global spy thriller franchise that will star Jessica Chastain, Marion Cotillard, Penelope Cruz, Fan Bingbing and Lupita Nyong'o. Shut up and take my money.

Lupita Nyong'o's red carpet looks just keep winning.

Chastain, who has been one of the most vocal actresses on gender equity issues in Hollywood, is producing through her Freckle Films banner.

"I have never seen an African woman intelligence agent", Nyong'o, who will play a gadget-obsessed character similar to Q in the Bond series. "What she uses to her advantage is people underestimating her".

The film has already gotten an offer of $25 million offer from Global Road Entertainment for North American distribution rights, and it is being reported that there's also a possibility that a studio like Twentieth Century Fox or Paramount could come in and snatch up global rights on the project.

Penelope Cruz followed up by praising Chastain's leadership of the project, saying "I said to Jessica, "You are our Santa Claus". In the meantime, Chastain has signed on for several upcoming genre films. 355 will be the second film to be directed by Kinberg, who, after writing and producing so many X-Men films, made his directorial debut on X-Men: Dark Phoenix. She is also attached to a feature adaptation of the comic book Painkiller Jane.
