The video begins as Marion County Sheriff's Deputy Jeremie Nix is waiting at a red light in the left lane of a roadway in Ocala.
He turned around the panicked woman handed over her son, Kingston, who was unresponsive. "I also think he made a good decision on taking that baby to the emergency room which was less than a mile away", posted Kimmy Hall.
Doctors credited Nix's quick-thinking actions for saving the baby's life, authorities said. He maneuvered around cars and sped through a construction zone in the medical center's parking lot.
The Marion County Sheriff's Office shared heartwarming updates about baby King's state afterward. Deputy Nix drove Kingston to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Doctors say that because of K9 Deputy Nix's actions, Baby Kingston is alive today.
Thankful mother Crowell took to Facebook afterward to thank Deputy Nix and share details about the astonishing moment her son's life was saved.
The sheriff's office announced Thursday that Kingston was doing fine and was expected to make a full recovery.
'Let me just say that yesterday GOD showed me just how real he was. "We are tremendously proud of Deputy Nix and we can already see that he and Baby Kingston will have a deep connection that will last a lifetime!"
"Jeremie Nix said", I just knew that I couldn't wait any longer for an ambulance so the only thing that I knew was to go so I gave the kid his first police pursuit ride".
